The Hotel Mascardi is located at 798 meters above sea level on the southeast shore of Mascardi lake in the Nahuel Huapi National Park. It is surrounded by rivers, lakes, lagoons, mountains and forest. It is huge tourist complex with its own lake beach on Mascardi lake and its own dock and docking facilities for smaller boats and yachts. The enchanting landscape that surrounds the hotel invites our guest to get involved with different outdoor activities such as: walking, trekking, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching and rafting. You can also do nice trips with a car or a boat on the lake. While you enjoy all these activities you can snap unbelievable photos of these beautiful sights. If you would like to do any kind of outdoor sports we have different options for experts and beginners as well as for children, youngsters and adults with all the necessary gear and professional guides for trekking and fishing who will gladly share their expertise with you in entertaining recreations programs. Starting just from the hotel you have different trails for trekking: to the Laguna Escondida (hidden lagoon), la Cascada (the waterfall) , Guillelmo lake and mountain Padre Laguna. Combining trekking with car tours you can go to: the lake and waterfall los Césares,Los Alerces waterfall, to mt. Cretón, mt. los Moscos and mt. Diego F. de León. The starting points for all these trekking trails are less than half an hour away from the hotel by car.  For the fishing fans The Hotel Mascardi has different options in sport fishing. you can fly cast in the river Guillelmo, or spin by the lake shore with excellent cliffs and edges with deep waters. We also have fishing boats to fish trolling. Our professional guides can take you to special fishing areas near the Llum bay or Corazon island. The hotel provides all the necessary gear to fish and also fishing permits if you let us know in advance. The fishing season begins the 15th of November and ends the 15th of March. In the winter season, from July to September you can enjoy skiing at the Catedral skiing center which is just 45 minutes away from the Hotel Mascardi. This center has excellent slopes for experts and also beginners.we have shuttle service from the hotel to the skiing center which will take you to the skiing center in the morning and then back to the hotel in the afternoon. the road to the Catedral skiing center is very nice going through beautiful leafy forest by the Gutierrez lake coast. This road with the morning mist on the lake, bright mountains and seagulls is a "show" worth to see it.  the hotel Mascardi also provides all the shuttle services from the bus and train stations, airport and the city of San Carlos de Bariloche. the hotel also has a wide variety of excursion services that you can arrange from the hotel. some of the excursions that you can take from the hotel are: Mt. Tronador, small circuit, big circuit (San Martin de los Andes and Villa la Angostura), El Bolsón and Esquel, Victoria island and Port Blest. In adventure tourism you can choose: rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, mountain biking, trekking and 4 x 4 driving (road rally).
